About
The From Shore to Shore newsletter is designed to help citizens learn how to manage their shoreland property to protect and improve water quality, wildlife habitat, and aesthetics. The free newsletter is published about 6 times per year by the University of Minnesota Extension Service Shoreland Education Program, in cooperation with the University’s Water Resources Center and Minnesota Sea Grant.
From Shore to Shore contains articles on shoreline revegetation, shoreland management, aquatic and wetland plants, understanding lakes, invasive species, educational resources, staff updates, and upcoming events and workshops. You are welcome to use the articles in your own newsletters – we just ask that you give credit to the University of Minnesota Extension Service Shoreland Education Program.
If you want to learn more about managing shoreland, consider subscribing to From Shore to Shore. You’ll be notified by e-mail as each issue becomes available on the Web. You can also use the search tool to look for articles of interest to you.
